July 11, to be exact.

It’s a day long event to raise money for Camp Moomba, a summer camp program for children impacted by HIV and AIDS.

The Yogathon itself is a fun-filled day of yoga and there is a marketplace with goodies from vendors and artisans. I haven’t attended in two years (had a family wedding to attend in Kelowna last year), but in 2007 we got rained out heavily and it was sooo much fun!

Innergy invites you to join us at the Yogathon if you can. If you can’t make it, why not sponsor our team and help us to raise money for this cause? We’ve set our goal at $2000 and I know we can make that easily! I’ve made the first donation personally myself.

From there, you have a few options:

If you’d like to participate in the Yogathon AND help fundraise . . .

Click on the above link, then scroll to the bottom right hand corner of the screen and click “Join Innergy Corporate Yoga Inc.”

Then select “Yes, I will attend the Yogathon”, which also signs you up to fundraise and collect donations (Attending costs $20 but you get tons of freebies, and usually a shirt and other awesome stuff.)

It will walk you through the rest.

If you’d like to help us fundraise but can’t attend the event . . .

Click on the above link, then join our team (the same way as above) and select “I will NOT attend the Yogathon but will collect donations”.

It will walk you through the rest.

If you don’t want to attend the event and don’t want to fundraise, but could spare a few dollars to sponsor us (it’s for the kids!) . . .

Click on the above link, then select “Sponsor a Team Member: Lynn Roberts” (or any other team member).

It will walk you through the rest.

Thanks for supporting the Camp Moomba Yogathon! By the way, “Moomba” is an Australian aboriginal word meaning “join together and have fun”.

It’s too late to compete, but you can still take the challenge by going to http://www.healthyworkplacemonth.ca challenges and downloading the challenge forms to help your workplace get healthy and stay on track.

We noticed that, in 2008, some of the winners of this challenge are some of our corporate yoga clients!

Congratulations to our clients. . .

CANTEST Ltd., who placed 40th out of 100 in the “Green at Work Challenge”, 88th out of 100 in the “Fit at Work Challenge”, and 99th out of 100 in the “Support at Work Challenge”.

Associated Engineering, who placed 91st out of 100 in the “Support at Work Challenge” and 97th out of 100 in both the “Fit at Work Challenge” and the “Green at Work Challenge”. As overall winners, Associated Engineering placed 97th and CANTEST placed 73rd!

Both of these companies are in Burnaby, BC. Congratulations to you both! We’re proud to have helped you in this challenge by providing you with classes. Cantest runs a weekly yoga class with us and Associated Engineering has been running two weekly pilates classes with us for over four years now!
